This New Restaurant Has Isolated Tables Hidden In Dreamy Landscapes Around a Swedish Nature Preserve

Welcome to a restaurant that’s in the middle of nowhere. Literally.

Nowhere, a restaurant located on a nature reserve near Stockholm, Sweden, is really bringing social distancing and al fresco dining to a whole new level.

The new dining experience was created by Oddbird, a Swedish winery that makes non-alcoholic wine (or, as they put it “wine liberated from alcohol”). The restaurant consists of six tables that are scattered around the reserve, so there’s no risk of coming into contact with other guests.

Tables are located near interesting and beautiful locations — one is in the middle of a forest, another is on a dock by a lake, another located in a meadow, and so on. Those who are looking for some solitude, an outdoorsy getaway, or just a unique dining experience would definitely love this place.

“Over time, we have become experts at fleeing, both mentally and physically, but on account of the corona crisis, we were grounded and forced to a halt,” said Mehmet Gürbüzer of Oddbird in a statement by the company. “Instead of travelling abroad, we now find ourselves out in the nature and discovering magical places we had not previously regarded as destinations. It is not really the place in itself that we want to get to with Nowhere, rather a state of mind.”

All six tables were individually designed by the Danish interior design duo The Norrmans using recycled furniture and materials for a truly bespoke experience. The menu was created by chefs Linn Söderström and Marion Ringborg from the restaurant Garba in Stockholm, and of course, all of Oddbird’s non-alcoholic wines are served with meals as well.
